ICC has provided each team maximum two warm-up games before the start of the mega event to get use to the condition before the tournament gets under way. India will play two warm up game against Australia on 13th February 2011 at Bangalore and against New Zealand on 16th February on 16th February 2011 at Chennai.

ICC World Cup 2011 Points Table
There will be total 49 matches will be played in 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup, 42 league matches, four quarterfinals, two semi finals and one Final. Below is the World Cup 2011 Points table for the Group stage. Since after that all the matches will be knockout games. India ODI and T20 Squad for South Africa Series announced
Indian selectors on Tuesday 21st December 2010, announced the 16 member Indian squad to take part in one twenty20 international and five match ODI series against South Africa starting 9th January 2011. This will be last assignment for the Indians before the mega ICC event “World Cup 2011”.
However many can consider this as a World Cup 15 member squad since this is the best 15 Indians have right now, Sachin Tendulkar who has not played ODI series since unbeaten 200 knocks against South Africa also returned in the frame.
