ICC has provided each team maximum two warm-up games before the start of the mega event to get use to the condition before the tournament gets under way. India will play two warm up game against Australia on 13th February 2011 at Bangalore and against New Zealand on 16th February on 16th February 2011 at Chennai.

There will be total 49 matches will be played in 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup, 42 league matches, four quarterfinals, two semi finals and one Final. India v South Africa 1st ODI at Durban
India will take on South Africa in the first of five match ODI series at Kingsmead, Durban with the World Cup in mind. Win in this series will put them in right frame of mind and contention for the ICC mega event starting next month.
